Who we are
An-Nuzum Academy is an online academy, founded in 2022, that teaches Quran, Islamic Studies, Arabic, Bangla, English and Abacus Math through live one-to-one and group classes. Information we collect
- Information you give us: the parent's or student's name, WhatsApp or phone number, email address, the child's age, country, time zone, preferred subjects and class times.
- Messages: what you send us on WhatsApp, email or our website forms.
- Class and billing records: class schedule, attendance, progress notes and payment records.
- Website data: basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited, collected by our hosting provider and, if enabled, by analytics or advertising tools such as Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a free trial class.
- To schedule and run classes, match your child with a suitable teacher and share progress.
- To send class reminders, updates and fee information, including through WhatsApp.
- To process payments and keep accounting records.
- To improve our website, classes and advertising.
WhatsApp communication
When you give us your WhatsApp number, you agree that we may contact you on WhatsApp about your enquiry, classes, schedules and payments. We may use the WhatsApp Business Platform for these messages. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying "STOP" or by telling our team.
Children's information
Most of our students are children. We collect a child's information only from a parent or guardian, and only what we need to teach the child. Classes take place online in the presence or with the knowledge of the parent or guardian.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- our teachers, who need your child's name, level and schedule to teach;
- service providers that help us run the academy, such as our web host, video-class platform, WhatsApp/Meta, email and payment providers;
- authorities, if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep student records while your child studies with us and for a reasonable time afterwards for accounting and legal purposes. Enquiries that do not lead to classes are deleted within 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you. If you live in the UK or the European Union you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and only people who need it for their work can access it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
